Question by matt_vogel7: In magic the gathering how do you play elemental shamans and what are they used for?
I just started to play magic with the wife and I am confused on the elemental shaman cards. I got a 2 deck set and they came with them but we dont know how to use them or what they are used for. So if anyone can please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

alright, if your talking about the elemental shaman tokens. You’ll need a special card to summon them
basically elementals usually come out one turn and aren’t effected by summoning sickness and attack and then go to graveyard
kinda like a gorilla warfare technique

An Elemental Shaman token is merely a representative of a creature with a power, toughness, color, and name specified on the card that creates the token.
For these purposes, most people use a stone or a flipped-over card or some other object. You don’t need anything special to show the token.
However, you may receive a specially printed version of the token with art in your packs or decks. You can use these with the cards that create the tokens: Rebellion of the Flamekin, Hostility, and Hearthcage Giant.
There is no way to play the tokens except for these cards. If you don’t don’t have them, then you can just enjoy the art.
