Charmed Season 3
Charmed Season 3
Charmed season 3 was first broadcast in 2000 to 2001 and saw many changes and upheavals and in the lives of the charmed ones, Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell.
Most noticeably, Charmed season 3 turns out to be Prue Halliwell’s last appearances on the show. She is killed by a demonic assault and is later replaced in series 4 by the charmed ones half sister; Paige Matthews (Rose McGowan).
Paige, just like Prue, possesses Telekinetic powers and manages to find a ‘civilian’ social worker job, which enables her to apply her powers of good alongside the other girls.
The addition of Paige as Prue’s replacement in the show, is very important as it allows the Halliwell sisters to once again call on the Power of Three.
Rose McGowan, who played Paige, turned out to be a major coup for the producers of the show and enabled them to overcome the loss of Shannen Doherty (Prue), who was arguably the biggest star of the show at the time.
Meanwhile in Season three, Phoebe falls in love with Assistant DA Cole Turner (Played by Julian McMahon), little realizing he was actually a demon named Belthazor and was on a mission to destroy the charmed ones.
At one point, Cole manages to purge himself of evil, but the lure of the demons proves too strong and he inevitably reverts back to evil. This pattern was to continue itself well into season 4, when he eventually impregnates Phoebe with his evil seed.
The baby was to eventually be stolen by a demon named The Seer (Played by Debbi Morgan) and the mixed-up Cole becomes trapped in another dimension before he is vanquished once and for all. Phoebe manages to land a job as a Newspaper Columnist
