Who are they?
Give your answer to this question below!
in africa some use “bhang” in ethiopian zionistic coptic churches which is a cannabis infused milk drink.
the native americans used peyote from the agave cactus in their spiritual trips.
Christians use alcohol.
Google “ayahuasca” (a Shaman beverage).
Often times, peace pipes contain both tobacco and cannabis.
Marijuana, mushrooms, peyote and datura are all used in religious ceremonies, I believe.
The “peace pipe” usually held tobacco. Peyote was limited to the Southwest among a handful of tribes until probably the 1970s, when the Native American Church really got going during the Civil Rights Movement. It’s pretty much spread across the country but there are many who claim that a large number of adherents are only there for the drugs and not for the religious practice.
Christians use ethanol
And to the person who said alcohol I thought I would correct you as alcohol as a term describes a wide group of chemical compounds in which methanol ehtanol propanol butanol pentanol etc. are contained. It may not make any difference to you but if you drank methanol you’d know about it
I know some Native American groups used tobacco in ritual ceremonies. I’d suggest researching entheogens, which is the term used for drugs used in religious ceremonies (convenient, eh?). Some that I can think of off the top of my head, apart from what you mentioned are iboga, ayahuasca, alcohol, and datura.
