Saving Grace: A show about angels and cops
Saving Grace is loved by people who are quite fond of the crime genre. This American show is a fine blend of fantasy and reality as it involves cops and angels. The show first premiered in 2007 and has been able to retain the interest of the audience to a great extent. Saving Grace episodes are incomplete without the presence of both angel and cop.
The cop in the form of Grace is the lead protagonist of the Saving Grace episodes and is played by Holly Hunter. In the show, Grace is depicted as a heavy smoker and drinker although she works for the Oklahoma City Police Department. Apart from being an alcohol addict, she heavily indulges in sex with an already married man. By involving herself in such degrading activities, Grace is slowly progressing towards hell.
In Saving Grace, the angel acts as a savior of Grace when she accidentally kills a man due to her drunken state while driving. But the angel, Earl (played by Leon Rippy) himself is indulged in the bad habit of tobacco chewing. It’s quite amusing to watch how such an angel tries to make Grace amend her ways. But he does not help or interfere with her police work. She has to solve even the most difficult cases by herself.
