Question by bellauni23: What can I expect from fasting for 4 days?
It is part of the process of a Vision Quest I am going on in the Inyo Mountains in California this July. The Fast is a Solo out in a remote part of the desert with temperatures in the 100’s for hi/ 75deg for a low, average. I will be allowed nothing but water the entire time. What would you do to prepare for fasting? I have never done it before. Thanks for your advice!!

the 3rd day is the hardest in terms of strength and hunger, but the 4th day is usually a little easier. be prepared to get a little nauseous at times, and a little weak.
it’s worth it, it cleans out your body a little. as long as your don’t go for too long. if at all possible, for maximum cleaning benefits, drink a laxative tea when ending your fast, and eat lots of fiber when breaking it along with lots of water.
btw, you can’t die from not eating for 4 days. it starts getting a little dangerous after a few weeks, but its perfectly ok going for less than a week, and it’s good for your body to detoxify.

I would expect to be f***ing hungry.
I would expect (if it were me) to pass out & die. But you may be able to handle not eating anything for four days. That’s rough..
probably very weak, light headed and you may faint but i would be more worried about death 🙂
drink lots of water but not too much or you might die
trust me.. it hurts
i have had to fast for a month before, and im only 15
u can prepare the week before by getting your body used to not alot of flavor..
so dont eat any sweet or anything too sour or anything like that
cause then when ur fasting, you will crave them
