Question by Sadhara Satguru: Tarot Cards ~ What Drew You To Them?
Hello
I remember my first Tarot experience well
– A friend took out her deck from her bag, we were at work (sciving!) & spiritually I felt a serge of energy & knew that they were going to be a part of my pathway.
Got my first deck the next day – Rider Waites, 20 years later still have them, not usable tho – gone bald!
Whats your memory?
Pam

I’ve actually never experienced them, however it’s something which i would like to learn about.
my Gran was a reader … although she used playing cards
so I started there , watching her and learning
I was 11
Hi! Well a friend of mine told me about a woman who did tarot card readings and I went to her…what an eye opening experience! She told me so much! Then my husband to be (who the reading had mentioned-lol!) revealed he too read the tarot…so I learned by watching him…I just love my cards…they are a major tool in my spirituality…I love doing readings for people too! I find the more I learn about tarot the more I realize I have to learn!!!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am looking to start Tarot soon; I have ordered Aleister Crowley’s Thoth deck, along with The Book of Thoth for introduction.
I actually just bought my first deck. I have always found myself drawn to mysticism and occult practices. My friend says it is because I was a “witch” in a past life. I am not sure of that, but I know that my intuition has always been strong and I have learned to listen to and follow it.
I have always had my own personal relationship with the Divine. I have just recently been comfortable enough to practice and worship the way I have always known to be right for me. Unfortunately I still have to keep it from some that are in my life. They are not as ready for this as I am.
But as to what drew me to Tarot…..I have always known they were for me.
I really cant put my finger on what drew me to them, i just knew that they would help me understand whatever it was that i was trying to understand.
i still learn a great deal from them. i rarely do readings though. im mostly interested in learning the journey of the fool and i have been studying the astrological, numerological and Kabalistic interpretations of the cards. It has led me to a fuller understanding of the forces at work in the universe and helped me to place the feelings and events i experience in my own life into a broader perspective. come to think of it, im overdue for a reading… i might just have to do that tonight!
Ive got the Rider deck too 🙂
lot of women seemed into it.
