Question by Matt W: Atheists who believe in the metaphysical, what do you believe?
I am not an atheist though am certainly NOT Christian nor do I follow any other religion. I do believe in god however and in a purely scientific sense. Too much to go into here.
What paranormal or metaphysical ideas do you atheists out there consider possible or probable?
Does quantum theory have any influence in your decisions?
Sorry my “belief” in god is in a purely philosophical sense not scientific sense.
Ok then, Supernatural?

Quantum theory is not a branch of metaphysics.
Unless there’s a distinction between metaphysics and the supernatural, then no, I don’t believe in anything metaphysical.
What do you think? Answer below!
Well I believe in rebirth. No not rebirth literally, as you would say: in a philosophical sense. I think that if for example you were at work, and became really upset… then in the next moment you could be reborn into a peaceful state of mind, and the moment you were just in would completely die and cease to exist. So I think that philosophically speaking, we are reborn from moment to moment.
I keep an open mind when it comes to chi.
I do not see enough evidence for or against its existence to make a judgement, although some evidence has been compelling, I don’t really see any need or use for it in the physical world. There is a lot we don’t know about science though…
Quantum theory is a branch of physics. and yes, i do believe, that any law of physic in practice works.
As an atheist, I consider all paranormal/metaphysical ideas/concepts possible and know a lot to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt.
As the devil Screwtape (Screwtape Letters CS Lewis) remarked to his nephew devil: if we can persuade man not only to not believe in God, but also make him a Magician, then we have won.
They haven’t won, although to some measure they have succeeded, as betokened by all the pagan new-age practices in the world today. Devils are are at work in dishing out a supernatural belief with no moral basis in God. Harry Potter et al.
However, the final battle, Armageddon is yet to be fought.
God wins, read his book. Turn to the last chapter.
