Pineapple is also another ingredient often used in hawaiian lotion today, although it is not traditional; pineapple is native to South America and the Caribbean, and was not introduced to Hawaii until the early 19th Century.
But don’t let that stop you from exploring the rich variety of lotions from Hawaii and the South Pacific, which also use floral essences of jasmine, oleander and orchids. Not only will you enjoy healthier, more attractive skin, you’ll have another chance to visit those tropical islands through the sensual delight of smell.
