truth passes through three stages before it is recognised. In the first, it is ridiculed, in the second it is opposed, in the third it is regarded as self-evident..” o ASHTAVAKRA GITA –”I am boundless space. The world is a clay pot. This is the truth. There is nothing to accept, Nothingto reject, Nothing to dissolve.”
o ASHTAVAKRA SAMHITA –”The conduct of the wise one, which is unrestricted by motive, shines, being jfree from pretence, but not the affected calmness of the deluded person whose mind is attached.”
o ASHUTOSHJI MAHARAJ –”It is one thing to subdue, forget or overcome pain and entirely another thing to attain happiness… Happiness and sadness are the internal states of a person. They do not depend on outer or worldly circumstances. Great saints have explained that happiness is related to the inner state of an individual. Rama’s mother, Kaushalya, was very happy Her son was heir to the throne of Ayodhya. On seeing this, Rama said to her: “Then how much happier will you be to know I have been made king already?” When Kaushalya expressed surprise, Rama explained to her that his father had given him the kingdom of jungles: “As King of Ayodhya, I would have been a thing on display So my requirement is in the jungles, not in Ayodhya.” I It is not the behaviour or attitude of others towards us that is important, but how we perceive and receive them.”
o ATHARVA VEDA –”Earth, my mother, set me securely with bliss in full accord with heaven. 0 wise one. Uphold me in grace and splendour! Pleasant be thy hills, 0 Earth, thy snow-clad mountains and thy woods! 0 Earth brown, black, red and multi-coloured, the firm Earth protected by mdra. On this Earth may I stand unvanquished, unhurt, unstained.”
o ATHARVA VEDA –”Earth, which has many
