Question by K dances her dance: How important is it to be connected with one on a spiritual level?
Do you think on a spiritual level two people need to understand about spiritual connections in order for things to blossom?
If one doesn’t believe then things just won’t work.
I am curious to hear from all on this especially individuals whom are very spiritual and whom deal with the mind,body and soul.

Yes, a spiritual connection between two people means they are closer to one than two.

I think a spiritual connection is very important for any relationship, especially a romantic one. If you’re mentally/emotionally/spiritually connected to someone strongly, then you and your significant other learn to place the needs of the other over your own. You also learn that a relationship is more than just your physical desires. While physical intimacy is considered an important aspect in relationships/marriage, it should not be the center point.

It is important to be connected with someone on a spiritual level. If two people are not then they do not truly know each other.
To me the spirituality of a relationship is just how well the two people understand each other on a personal and intimate level. Like knowing how things (even little things) will affect your partner mentally and emotionally and actually caring about those effects.
People may not agree on everything but if they can understand and love each other then they can usually work it out. When people do not understand and love each other then they will just argue and that disagreement will turn to hate. Many people do this and think that the best thing to do is just not talk about the problem. When they MUST talk about it to resolve it.
That is what is done in marriage counseling. People MUST willfully work problems out with understanding and love in order for a relationship to last. So, if you define spirituality the same way I do then you must see how it is important.
So, if two people are not connected like this, things are going to be rough.
As for me, its the utmost priority. Without it there cannot exist a true relationship.
We can approach it from two direction:
1. There is no individual spiritual path, we have to be connected to each other to reveal spirituality as it can only happen within the optimal connections in between us.
2. The only true connection between humans is the spiritual connection, as apart from that we cannot even call ourselves human, as we are just blindly following our instincts, hormones and desires, like any other animal in the world.
Only when we learn how to elevate ourselves above our own selfish desires, and start feeling the desires of others, and start fulfilling those “other desires” regardless of our own, only than can we speak about human connection, about true love.
