Imass. They are then forced to co-operate with Sengar, Onrack and several other Imass in order to escape the shattered Warren they are trapped in. Subsequent to this they escape into the Malazan world, but, after nearly dying at the hands of Malazan sappers, they decide to retreat to their own Warren. The other Imass cause the destruction of the demon posing as Osserc (L’oric’ familiar). The Tiste Liosan named L’oric, son of Osserc, then goes to find his father. Osserc is found and does not return immediately, instead L’oric finds a new familiar and they return from Raraku’s memory which was similar to a warren.
Characters
Osseric – Son of Father Light is without a mother. Champion (Knight) of High House Light, Soletaken, and god of the Tiste Liosan. Osseric explains his godship with that the Liosan worship themselves, and he happened to be a convenient figurehead. He is also known as Osserc and Osric. He’s also worshiped as the Lord of the Sky and Spirit of the Wind, by Kyle’s people of southern Jacuruku. When in an engagement with the Crimson Guard he was killed but transferred himself into the sword of Kyle, which coincidentally was just inscribed by the Crimson Guard mage Smoky, with relation to the Spirit of the Wind. He then releases himself later when Kyle and The Traveller, whom he meets on his journey, meet Shadowthrowne and Cotillion.
L’oric – Son of Osseric (Osric) with a mother unnamed powerful ascendant. High mage of the Apocalypse army, although he did not participate in any of the fighting.
