@AMCael I appreciate the comment! ๐
@SpacesCorners You are welcome!
Worked like a charm for me, thank you so much!
Thanks very much, very helpful ๐
@Lovemegoofy Congratulations!
YAY! I succeeded my first try!- Proud of Myself cause it looked really complicated!
@haska7 Funny, I just struggled with the same thing, that pesky 1st st. I found that I needed the source yarn to have more tension on it, so after going over index finger, I wove the yarn through my fingers, over index, under 3rd, over 4th, under5th. This gave some tension on yarn until I got the first st made,then I could let go of the circle and readjust my hold position & continue making SCs in loop. I’m making Lion Brandยฎ Vanna’s Glamour Pattern #: 80972AD Ornament & wanted a tight beg.
It looks like you are pulling the tail through but that can’t be right. When I look to see the stitch, there is a pause in the video that makes it unclear on how to do the first stitich.
@heygoldilocks You are welcome!
Thanks! I couldn’t figure out how to do this (from other videos or directions) till I watched this.
@ctmhfun Thank you.
I finally got this thanks to you!!! Your videos are always so clear!
thanks..its the start to my amigurumi!!
kita~~~!!

merci mon ami(gurumi) ๐
thank you!!!!!
@CrankyOldBatt Thank you! ๐
This is great. Very clear and easy to follow.
Thanks for posting this method. I was trying to use a different one and I understood the idea, but ended up crocheting upside down or backwards or something crazy, and it hurt my hands. >< I was a bit confused about which strand was which after watching this the first time (yay, rewind), but after that it was pretty easy. ๐
@DarkLady679 You are welcome.
Thank you so much for this. I had been struggling with this technique for weeks.
@wargur You are welcome.
Thanks! I finally understood this mysterious magic circle!
@shezie16 you can do as many as you want, or what your pattern calls for, i have as little as 6 and as many as 10 so far. If you have to do more just make your starting loop a little bit bigger so you dont have to cram all the single crochets in there.
@karlaidoscoper go back and watch from :25 to :30 seconds and you can see how the thread gets pulled through, it kind of jumps after that but its literally right after you pull it through. watch it 2-3 times and you’ll get it ๐
cool!! it worked!! ty!!!
this video is way to hard to figure out….please do a slow motion for idiots like me.
