Question by JC: Pagan songs/hymns/carols?
I was wondering if anyone knew of any sources for Pagan songs that aren’t just corruptions of Christian hymns and carols. I’ve searched Google, and all I can find are rewritten Christian songs.
I know that a lot of Pagan traditions have been assimulated by Christianity, but it doesn’t mean that, for example, Amazing Grace (as I’ve found a Pagan rewrite of that song) should be rewritten for us.
I would like to find some original songs.
The Isaac Bonewits page is the same. For example ‘Be Pagan Once Again!’ is ‘A Nation Once Again’ with Pagan words.

Yeah…strike what you just said, and reverse it. Pagan’s came before Christians, as did their music. If you’re asking about Pagan holiday carols that haven’t been tamperd with, try the Boar’s Head Carol, The Holly and the Ivy, etc. Some that have been tampered with include O Tannenbaum(Translates to O Fir Tree, NOT Christmas Tree), Ding Dong Merrily on High was a folk dance tune before the Christians got a hold of it and added Christian Lyrics, etc.

Pagan songs aren’t corruptions of Christian hymns and carols, it’s the other way around.
Try a Unitarian-Universalist source…though you might run into the same issue there.
If I recall, Isaac Bonewits wrote a bunch of these since the 1960s….. let me do a quick search to find his website….
