boring so fast, second, i hardly wanted to play guitar, because of johns divine sound, and today i found my inner peace while im playing guitar, and now i try to cover songs of elliott smith as good as i can. im really thankful for that epiphany.

the first time i heard this song,… it was my birthday, i guess i was about 13 years old, i listened to the intro,the first 15 seconds or something like that, and i fell in love with this guitar. i also fell with in love with his singing, but then the chorus came in and i disliked it, a week later i was junkie in terms of that song. the upshot was that i realized two things, first, good songs need some time to totally fell in love with, and they are also the songs they dont get

I remember the first time I heard this song. I was in Whistler, Canada with my ex-girlfriend and we had been partying all night.
We flagged a cab, and the snow was coming down at 3 AM and it was beautiful. We hopped into the cab, and the cab driver could tell we were on a good one and he turned around and said, “You guys should really listen to this jam.”
John’s intro was came through the speakers and we just looked outside the window at the snow and the shadows dancing in the street lights.
what happens during John’s solo from like 2:10 ? he looks frustrated with the sound or something.
