Runes & Its Significance – Part 2
Runes are similar to that of Tarot. The word ‘Rune’ has been derived from the old-root word meaning ‘hidden’ and ‘mysterious’. Dates back, Runes were used to carve inscriptions and designed to defeat the wiles of tomb-robbers Runes were even credited with the ability, when used by one gifted with occult powers, of restoring the dead to life.
To use your Rune cards, you must make a casting-cloth or a casting board, on which to place your Rune cards. A cloth heavily embroidered or painted with ‘elemental colors’ i.e. black for Earth, yellow for Air, red for Fire and blue for Water, certainly adds atmosphere for casting the runes and interpreting their positions.
It is known to all of us that there are 24 Rune cards. The significance of the 12 cards are discussed as follows:
13.YR: In air segment – do not quarrel.
In fire segment – you must face up problems.
In earth segment – try to be stable.
In water segment – remain outwardly calm.
14.PEORTH: In air segment – you will experience sheer bad luck.
In fire segment – do not be too trustful.
In earth segment – a time for great care.
In water segment – do not take chances or gamble.
15.AKZI: In air segment – you must take decisions and let others know about it.
In fire segment – be outgoing and extrovert.
In earth segment – be sharp.
In water segment – a time for expansion.
16.SIG: In air segment – relax and restore energies.
In fire segment – remain calm at all cost.
In earth segment – be calm and consider matters carefully.
In water segment – moderate
