I know this is just a cartoon, but because this line of argument is popular, I wanted to comment that the claims made therein strike me as complete nonsense. For example, the *average* temperature around Palestine in December can be near 60°C (and of course, some years can be above average). The famous Shamootee (“Shamouti”) orange is precisely in season at that time. Are we to honestly believe it is warm enough to harvest citrus fruit, but too cold to graze sheep?
