Question by Shai Hulud: Why is sex so sacred to some people?
I don’t understand how some women/men got the idea in their heads that sex is always supposed to be meaningful. Sex is highly therapeutic, it feels wonderful, and it’s a whole lot of fun.
So what is so wrong with having a one night stand, setting STDs aside? I see no ethical grounds for depriving yourself of one of the best age old traditions out there.
I think we’d all be a little less high strung, if we took a step back, took a long deep breath, and had a little more sex. Thoughts?

Uh, it’s a little thing called RELIGION.
Hence the uh, “sacredness” of it….Ya know sacred means holy as in Holy Bible or holy text?

My body is a temple and not everyone is worthy to worship it.
Hence why I was picky about who I shared myself with. I respect myself too much to lie down with assholes.
Because its really cool if when youre married, your partner is the only one who has had sex with you, and vice versa.
It’s sad how kids my age just sleep around. I’m 16 and a happy virgin.
Oh yeah it’s called respect for your body.
It might be fun for you but some of us don’t find having random sex with people we don’t know very well to be a lot of fun. It’s not just about STDs, there’s other factors that make some people, especially women, not want to have one night stands. Like self respect and reputations. Not to mention the possibility of bringing a kid into the world that way. Why does sex have to be random?
