Wiccan Beginner Guide To Spell Casting
Whilst Wicca initially started off as one of the new mystery religions, the majority of current generation Wiccans decided that it was best not to continue working under a blanket of mystery. Hence information about Wicca is abundant – in books, articles and on the Web. There are no secrets anymore. Even the key to it all lays open and exposed, namely that all things (people, animals, plants, rocks, water etc) are connected and that Wiccans, because of this connection holds all things sacred.
Anybody can practice the religion, art and science of Wicca. Externally, it merely requires a willingness to work hard to learn the many, varied aspects of the Craft and internally, a dedication to Spirit. Wicca Beginners (seeker) do not need to join a specific sect, coven or family to start off with. As you learn and grow, you will know whether you wish to form part of a group or continue as a solitary.
The most important part for a Seeker embarking on the Wiccan Path is gathering information, understanding the information – in other words allowing the information to become knowledge – and then applying the knowledge gained.
1. Book of Shadows
Start keeping a BoS from Day 1. This is a collection of the spiritual lessons you learn and will contain the spells you used, magickal rules and all sorts of information you gathered around incense, oils, brews, herbs, candles, colors etc.
