    what music?

  • Deirdre H says:

Rhapsody has some good music. Laura Powers is there. The Libana website has some good ritual music. Loreena McKennitt, though not overtly Pagan has some great music that many Pagans use.

Also, wiccanweb.ca has a radio section with some good music on it.

  • U.P. says:

I just have to say… Loreena McKinnet (sp?) has some great music with pagan themes…

    Ancient songs the stones resound.
    Dance, the giants, dance

All that dies shall be reborn.
Corn and grain, corn and grain,
All that dies shall rise again.

I don’t know about downloads for pagan music, but I bought a CD online called “The Best of Pagan Song” which has some of the BEST pagan music, it is a collection of a bunch of different artists, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! I think you can get it anywhere they sell pagan stuff online, like abaxion.com.

Ariel, Ariel, all hail to Ariel, Queen of Wiccan Wonderfulness!

    Love you a bunch!

  • hedgewitch says:

steeleye span, EARLY Spacegoats cd’s (not recent stuff) tantara “into the light”, blue horses (welsh band, the singer is a lovely celtic witch), seize the day “alive” (double cd), celtica, baka beyond..

i think you would enjoy all these, especially tantara (three very witchy women!). if you have trouble locating any of them, email me.

seize the day are folk/protest earth loving types, and some songs will make you cry, or laugh out loud. they have one little song/chant which is nice to use for meditation or before spells …

    oh round mother earth,
    bring her into birth,
sweet creatress of the night and day,
    bring your spirit through,
    rest our thoughts in you,
guide our feet in the natural way

they sing this 9 times, gradually becoming louder towards the 4th/5th time, then becoming quieter again.

if i think of any more i’ll let you know!

    blessed be sister

I love Loreena McKinnet. She lives about an hour away in Stratford, Ontario. A beautiful place. Thanks everyone for all the great stuff. I’m still very new to the Pagan/Wiccan community and I have received sooooo much priceless information from all of you. Thank you all for not judging a “Newbie”. Much love to Ariel for this wonderful question.

  • BlueManticore says:

I don’t know about downloads, but Laura Powers is one of my favorites for Pagan music. I really like Celtic Woman too. Enya is pretty good also. I might check out Loreena McKennitt now after reading some of these other answers.
